Heritage Barn residence

Toomey Construction partnered with the property owner to transform a historic early-1900s barn into a fully livable residence. This extensive renovation preserved the original floor system and rafters while replacing and rebuilding nearly every other component to create a beautiful, functional home.

A new timber post-and-beam structure was introduced to define interior spaces and incorporate an open loft, maximizing the dramatic double-height volume. Dormers were carefully added to bring in natural light and support covered porches that capture sweeping views of the surrounding property. Architectural highlights include a custom masonry hearth and a Marvin Skycove window overlooking the valley, creating a striking focal point within the home.
